Elementary Rubric

Here is a rubric I used during my elementary rotation to formally assess the blind contour project that the fourth grade students did.  The rubric is based on Lewisville ISD’s grading system for elementary students.  This rubric created an objective means to grade the students and their progress.

Advanced Art Reflection

This reflection was implemented after the advanced art students completed their paintings based on the style of Charles Burchfield.  Here the students were able to use what they had learned about the artist and assess their progress by writing about their work.  This reflection served as a means to develop their writing and social/emotional development.  This assignment allowed me to informally assess and evaluate their understanding of the learning objectives.
