EVIDENCE AND ARTIFACTS

welcomeFirst Day of School Presentation
PowerPoint

Here is a PowerPoint that I created for the first day of school. This presentation is a helpful tool to start the school-year on the right foot. It includes my classroom rules, an overview of the curriculum, and what the students can be expected to be graded on. It also includes some fun facts about myself. This tool aids in active engagement in learning and motivates my students for the year. The expectations that are outlined in the presentation offer a clear picture of my expectations of how my classroom would be managed.

Inventory of Attitudes and Interests
Secondary Inventory

This is a handout that I created for the first day of school that helps me develop a curriculum based on the students’ interests and needs.  The document assesses their experiences with art materials and techniques, their strengths and weaknesses as an artist, and the attitude toward art and art class.  Student motivation and interest is an enhancing factor in motivation and learning, and this inventory is a great way to jump-start the school year on the right foot.

Standard V challenges me to create motivational tools and classroom management guidelines that ensure a successful classroom environment.  It allows me to gauge student interests and art experiences in order to better frame the curriculum and promote the motivation to create art that is meaningful to them.
