National Art Education Association

I am a member of the National Art Education Association, or NAEA. NAEA is an organization that seeks to promote art education through professional development, service, advancement of knowledge, and leadership. As a member of this organization I am able to develop as an art educator, and pursue excellence in my field. NAEA holds an annual conference every Spring.

Texas Art Education Association

I am a member of the Texas Art Education Association, or TAEA. TAEA is an organization that seeks to promote excellence in visual arts education. Affiliation with this organization provides opportunity for professional development as well as opportunities for research and leadership. As a member of this organization I am able to support my fellow art educators, as well as the body of people that make up the art community – artists. TAEA holds an annual conference every Fall.

These artifacts demonstrate my pursuit to be continually learning as an art educator, to create a more stimulating experience-based learning environment for my students. Standard IX pushes me to further advance my own education through workshops in the community, scholarly journals, and conferences so that I may enhance my lessons in order to create meaningful curriculum.
